Good traffic patterns, and sensible furniture arrangements (as well as creative decorating solutions), will help simplify your home life, and make for better living, entertaining, etc.

From cad drawings (showing your floor plan, furniture arrangements, wall elevations, etc.), to sketches of decorating ideas, to enhanced photos, to renderings - Artdemes Design will help you visualize your dreams.




Artdemes Design's Muraling - Faux Finishing
Thinking about a mural? A custom mural adds a touch of individuality to any space. It is a creative way of personalizing your home, and an excellent way to introduce your children to the importance of art. Whether the imagery is vivid and energetic, or subtle and calm - commissioning a mural can be a wonderful addition to any home.

A little about the mural design process with Artdemes Design: We will start with an initial consultation where we talk about your ideas and concepts, and explore possibilities. At this time, Artdemes Design will also measure and record the dimensions of your room.
Upon our next contact, Artdemes Design will present you with mock-ups (or other visual aids), showing beautiful ideas for your space, and a price quote for the service. With your approval - the next step is to add you to our schedule.

A little about the painting process with Diana Johnson of Artdemes Design: Diana typically paints with oil and glaze, but she paints in latex too. Most of her murals start off with a wash (sketch) on the wall, followed by subsequent layers of glaze and paint. Once the under-painting has been established - the final coats are achieved with a brush. Diana uses Benjamin Moore Paints for the majority of color, and she finishes up with artist oil paints (Grumbacher and Winsor & Newton Brands, etc.) for additional coloring. The process creates murals that are luminous and full of depth - similar to fine art watercolor paintings or fine art oil paintings that use a layering/glazing technique.

Whether you would like your cabinetry to be the interest, or complement your interests - a built-in speaks of elegance. One of a kind built-ins such as library units, fireplace/mantel units, display cabinets, bookshelves, closet cabinets, etc., can also help you to organize your home life. These built-in units can provide an aesthetically pleasing place to store your books, clothes, collectibles, and other items.

Artdemes Design can help guide you on where a custom cabinetry solution would best be suited in your home. Artdemes Design's Fine Art Painting
Are you having trouble finding a painting that is just right for your space? Would you like a custom piece tailored to your taste? As a designer, Diana Johnson of Artdemes Design can consult with you on what could work best in your space, and as an artist - she can produce it too. Diana works in a variety of painting styles, and she is diverse in her mediums - oils, acrylics, charcoal, conte crayon, oil bars, chalk pastels, oil pastels, and watercolor are all included in her palette. The example (right) is a charcoal drawing. Diana achieved the look by brushing on charcoal powder, erasing (with a kneaded eraser) to create the highlights, and then working back the darks through the use of charcoal sticks.






Artdemes Design's Clay Sculptures
Why clay? Interior design and clay work are very similar in that both of them involve sculpting in 3D. Artdemes Design enjoys the opportunity to further personalize a space with our handmade clay art. Custom vases, mirror frames, pots, bowls, plates, wall sconces, candleholders, tiles, animal sculptures, and other sculptures, are all within our grasp.
